Very often on the stone walls of the mill we can see an engraved Christian cross which proves the millers’ faith in God, who was to protect them from damages to the mills, loss of money and other troubles such as paying fines, imprisonment, or bankruptcy. Thus, eight crosses have been found on the walls of one mill to ensure complete safety and protection against all kinds of adversities.
