LIGHTING
Torches were originally used for lighting the mills. The records of the testimony of a witness to the murder at Taraš’ Mill in 1722, states: „Taraš then started the mill and began grinding, and Vuko sat with Taraš on the chest, while I was standing on my feet holding a lighted torch ... ".
In addition to torches, various types of olive oil lamps and candles were also used for lighting.
In the first half of the 20th Century, it was indispensable to have a carbide lamp that gives light by burning garbite into acetylene. There was also a variety of petroleum lamps.
