  After the mills and fulling mills ceased to exist, almost all the buildings were exposed for decades to decay and deterioration. Plenty of water and lush vegetation caused destruction of many parts of the buildings. Overgrown with vegetation, the sluices partly collapsed, filled in, or completely disappeared.
  
  The exceptions were the Upper Živanović Mill and Fulling Mill. With the construction of the restaurant "Konavoski Dvori" in 1968, the mill and the fulling mill were included in the tourist facilities as an integral part of the restaurant.
  
  The mill has been restored, and a bar built in its western part, where horses were originally tied. In this way, the mill and a tourist faclity are housed under the same roof. Also renovated was the mechanism of the fulling mill, while the upper floor space was converted into a storage area.
