BLACK POPLAR (Populus nigra L. )
The banks of the River Ljuta are interwoven with the crowns of white willows and black poplars. Black poplar is a deciduous tree from the family of willows. It can grow up to 30 meters forming a wide, branchy and airy crown. It blooms in April with cylindrical hanging purple red fringes. It can live for centuries.
